Salomon Alpine Running

One season – one contest!

The first permanent trail running route with fixed, contactless timekeeping technology.

Challenge yourself to beat your personal best with each run and compare your time with that of your friends. This permanent route covers an altitude of around 640 metres and a distance of 5 km along good paths and beautiful trails. Starting at the base station, the Salomon Alpine Running Trail takes you via Acletta and Segnas to Tegia Valentin and on through the forest to Caischavedra.

What does trail running involve?

  1. Register at the base station and collect your thumb ID for the contactless timekeeping system.

  2. At your own pace, you can then run, walk or stroll from S. Catrina to Caischavedra, while registering your split times at regular intervals thanks to our contactless timekeeping technology.

  3. Return your thumb ID to the Caischavedra panorama restaurant. Your runtime will then be printed out and the current season's rankings updated at

And the winner is...

At the end of the season, there will be an attractive prize (sponsored by Salomon) for the most diligent runner and the quickest runtime.

The route can be used free of charge and at your own risk. Registration and thumb ID returns are only possible during operating times. However, both the route and timekeeping system are available for use at any time.
